Allowing condo association owners or HOA members to serve as Managers - paid or unpaid - is a bad idea. It creates a potential conflict of interest situation that allows owners to grab control and run Associations like dictators. Dictator Managers use state laws as weapons to remove anyone in their path, train their interest groups to help them and break Statutes (state laws) and Bylaws (Association Rules) when they find them inconvenient. Dictator condo owner managers and HOA owner managers threaten their neighbors to gain an unfair advantage.
